Bike + Yoga along Silver Comet Trail

Before I taught yoga I competed in triathlons in the Kansas City area. I had a decent bike. I still do. It just sat in my garage for the last couple of years collecting dust. Until now.

You guys. I cleaned her up and made sure the tires weren't going to pop off. Now that the biking bug has bit me, I am excited to share that Shine Again Yoga has partnered with Comet Trail Cycles to offer an evening of cycling and yoga on Friday, Aug. 30.

This will be a 30 minute ride on the Silver Comet Trail followed by 30 minutes of yoga. Our yoga class will take place in the green space between the parking lot and the bike trail. If you don't have a bike, Comet Trail Cycles will provide you one upon your registration of $25. If you don't have a yoga mat, a beach towel will work just fine.

This is open to the public and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.

Price: $25 with bike rental, $20 without bike rental

Date: Friday, Aug. 30

Time: 6:45-8 p.m.

Location: Comet Trail Cycles (4342 Floyd Road, Mableton, Ga.)

This bike/yoga endeavor benefits Project Zawadi, a non-profit organization that works hard to send kids to school in Tanzania. Shine Again Yoga is committed to raising $1,000 to send a student, Mwanaisha, to school for five years. To date we have raise $591.

We look forward to hosting many more outdoor yoga-related events. We believe that outside is the best side. :)
